Students can complete courses and/or an internship during the semester or summer, while drawing connections between Celtic lands and Kentucky. The heritage of Celtic culture is evident in Kentucky culture - whether in music, art, language, or folklore - and students will have the opportunity to study and encounter these connections directly.
Co-curricular Learning Certificate
One of the most important and potentially challenging aspects of the study-abroad experience is creating a meaningful engagement with the culture of the host country. Arcadia’s Co-curricular Learning Certificate (CLC) offers students a formal incentive for your not-for-credit development. This is Arcadia's way of recognizing thoughtful participation, reflection and rich learning achieved from getting involved in the local culture and communities. Read about other students' CLCs in blogs, or as published works in IMPACT magazine.
Possible CLC themes in Ireland include Roots of Irish America, Gaelic Language, Irish Identity, and Irish Campus Life. Students may also work with the on-site staff to design their own CLC theme.
